Write. Reflect. Transform.

Therapeutic Journaling
Guided by a Gestalt Psychotherapist

Michelle

The main thing I felt about Liz and this class was the honesty and reality and care, genuine care

Linda

I have found Liz amazing. So supportive and patient. She has explained everything simply. I have learnt to be kinder to me and to listen to the birds, smell the ocean and enjoy eating favourite foods not just exist in the day. Stop and take in life, not to dwell on my past and how to use journaling as a tool.

Liz Macnamara

A Gestalt Psychotherapist who believes that journaling isn’t just writing—it’s a doorway to healing and transformation. Liz teaches journaling for emotional health, helping people explore their inner worlds, one word at a time.

Since 2011, I’ve been leading writing groups and remain deeply fascinated by how reframing our stories can reshape the way we live our lives.

I’ve been keeping a notebook or journal for all my adult life—a space to work out what I really think and feel about my experiences. I believe journaling isn’t about 'good writing'—it’s about showing up to the page as you are. In stuttered lines something powerful can emerge.

Why Journal?

The effects of written emotional expression are substantial and similar in magnitude to other psychological interventions, many of which can be time-consuming and expensive.
